Adoption Policy
** Please read over and take note of all aspects of this policy and make sure you can completely commit your time and effort to a bunny before taking one into your home **
In assuming responsibility for the above rabbit, I agree to never physically abuse him/her, nor will I allow any other person or animal to do so. I will always supervise any children when they are playing with this rabbit. I agree to give the rabbit play and exercise time in a safe environment. I agree should my life circumstances change; should the rabbit fall ill; or should other difficulties arise between us, I agree to work through such issues so that the rabbit may remain a member of my household. I agree to work with this rabbit to overcome any behavioral issues that might arise with this rabbit so that we may live together in contentment. I understand that I am making a commitment to this rabbit for its lifetime of ten years or more. I will bunny proof my home. I am adopting this rabbit as a house pet, and at no time will he or she be left outside overnight. I will supervise any outdoor play activity and provide protection from predators. I will monitor the outdoor temperature closely. I agree to provide this rabbit with a balanced diet with daily fresh food (pellets, to hay and vegetables) and water. I also agree to provide medical care to always keep this rabbit in good health. Once this rabbit is adopted, Little Nugget Rabbitry is not liable or responsible for any damage or injury caused by the adopted rabbit. I understand that health problems may arise in the future for which Little Nugget Rabbitry or its representatives will not be held responsible. (©House Rabbit Society)
***Above is the commitment you will be agreeing to and signing before taking your rabbit home. ***
Our adoption fees start at $150.00 and go up depending on the rabbits coloring, eye color etc We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold a rabbit for you.
You MUST be 18 years of age or over to purchase a rabbit.

If we do not receive your deposit within 5 days(or what was discussed) of your request, the rabbit will be released and marked as available. The remaining balance for your rabbit is due no later than the time of pickup in cash, please try to have exact change, I do not normally carry cash on hand.
If the balance is not paid within the agreed upon time the 50% non-refundable deposit will not be returned and the rabbit(s) will be released from hold. The deposit will go towards our care of the rabbit(s) until it/they go to a new home.
If 3 days go by a scheduled pickup time, without reasonable contact, the sale will be cancelled, whatever has been deposited will be forfeited and rabbit will be released from hold.

All rabbits are adopted out in good health and with no undisclosed issues to the best of my knowledge at the time of purchase. Once you bring your bunny home, I am no longer held responsible for illness or death of the rabbit.
All rabbits are sent home with transition feed and it is important that you follow any instructions given, if needed I can always email any instructions as well. If at anytime during the life of your rabbit, you are no longer able to keep him/her for GOOD reason, I will help you try to find a new home. PLEASE, we don't want these wonderful rabbits let out into the wild or dropped at a shelter- either is basically a death sentence.
